Located in beautiful Lancaster County, White Stone Event Center is a local historic landmark offering a plush setting for all types of events.  The combination of exquisite design and spacious rooms makes for a goregous environment for your special day.  With our newly renovated building, we now offer a commercial kitchen, three large meeting rooms, a four foot raised stage and our beautiful ballroom.

Catering options for your event range from sumptuous gourmet dinners to basic hors d'oeuvres receptions.  Nothing is ever truly basic at White Stone Event Center because each event is tailored to your individual taste. We always use the finest quality products while paying the utmost attention to the details of preparation and presentation. 

White Stone Event Center offers a variety of food and beverage packages to simplify your event planning.  Packages can also be tailored to meet your specific requests and expectations or we can work together to create something special for your individual event. 

The ballroom at White Stone Event Center offers a beautiful setting for a wedding or other ceremony.  Our staff can work with you to create your dream wedding and reception all in one convenient location. 

We are a full service Event Center that provides professional and pleasing accommodations for weddings, engagement parties, anniversaries holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, reunions, fund raisers, dances, birthday celebrations, corporate functions and seminars.  We request that your guest list be 25 or more guests, unless the Martini Bar is open for business. ******The facility rental fee is waived if $2,500.00 food and beverage minimum is met.******

B. Deposit

    Refundable Security Deposit                              $    250.00

    -This fee is required to hold the facility for the date requested and is payable in cash, check or credit card.  It will be returned upon the completion of your event provided there are no damage charges incurred.  The deposit will not be applied to any other fees associated with your event. 

C. Payment Schedule - The security deposit will be collected once a date is finalized for your event.  Once a menu is finalized for your event, a contract will be drawn up.  Upon execution of the contract, 50% of the estimated total cost is due to the White Stone Event Center, payable by cash, check, Visa, Master Card or American Express.  Approximately 14 days prior to your event, you will need to provide your final head count to the Event Manager.  At that time, the balance of your total cost will be due.

D. Cancellation Policy - Cancellations must be received in writing to the White Stone Event Center one month prior to the event date.  At that time the security deposit and any other fees paid to the Event Center will be fully refunded.  If less than one month's notice is given, the security deposit and fees are no longer refundable. 

Other Information

Decorations - White Stone Event Center has a variety of decorative items that can be used for your event, including bowls, lanters, seashells, and candles.  You are free to bring your own decorative items as well.  Please that due to the historic nature of the building decorations cannot be attached to the walls, ceilings or floors.  We also do not allow open flames, confetti, bubbles, glitter, rice, spray cans, string confetti or similar items. 

Music - The White Stone Event Center stage provides a wonderful space for a DJ or band to set up their equipment for your event.  We request that any band or DJ you reserve make contact with us approximately a week prior to your event to go over any logistics.  The Event Center also has a Bose I-Pod system which can be used for a $75.00 fee. 

Audio Visual Equipment - Available for a nominal fee we have a wireless microphone, an A/V screen, a 40" flat screen television and a DVD player.

Table Linens - Included in your rental fee is the choice seven different colors of table linens.  Custom colors are available as well for an additional charge of $10.00 per cloth for toppers or $25.00 per cloth for full length rounds.

Glassware - White and red wine glasses, as well as champagne flutes, are available for rental.  The cost is $10.00 per rack of 25 glasses.

Catering- All catering for your event must be done on site, with the exception of wedding and/or birthday cakes.  Please see our event manager to go over our menu options and pricing. 

Liquor/Alcohol - All alcoholic beverages must be purchased and consumed on the premises.  No off-site liquor or alcohol is allowed at the White Stone Event Center.  There are a variety of beverage options for your event.  Please see our event manager to go over bar options and pricing.

Bartender Service - There is a $75.00 fee for each bartender employed for your event.  White Stone Event Center requires one bartender per 75 guests on any event serving any type of beverage.

Cake Service - White Stone Event Center offers cake service for $100.00, which includes plates, forks, utensils, cutting and serving of your wedding or birthday cake.

Outside Vendors and Services - If you need assistance locating vendors or services for your event, we would be happy to help you find what you are looking for.  White Stone Event Center maintains a list of DJs, bands, florists, bakeries, etc. that we have worked with in the past and happily recommend. 

Worry Free Transportation - White Stone Event Center is happy to arrange chartered transportation to and from your event.  We have arrangements with two reputable charter bus companies and a limousine service and will take care of all of the details for you.  Contact the Event Manager for details and pricing. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I schedule an appointment to discuss my event? 

We humbly request that you schedule an appointment with our event manager to go over the details of your event.  Our office hours are generally Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, but the event manager will do her best to accommodate all schedules.  You may call the event center at 435-2300 to schedule a consultation.

Are taxes included in the cost of my event?

No, 5% Virginia sales tax will be added to your total cost, and a 1.5% Virginia food and beverage tax will be added to the cost of your food.

Is smoking allowed at the White Stone Event Center?

The Event Center is a completely non-smoking facility.  There is a smoking area on the front porch outside of the building. 

Is White Stone Event Center Handicap Accessible?

Yes, White Stone Event Center is fully ADA compliant.

Do you offer food samples?

It is possible to schedule a food tasting with our chef for a fee.  Please make sure to call ahead to schedule your tasting at least two weeks in advance.
